The mother of Angkhana Radubpanyawoot Tuesday filed a defamation suit against a deputy police spokesman for saying that she carried a bomb that killed her on October 7.
Witchuda Radubpanyawoot had her lawyer file a defamation suit against Pol Maj Gen Surapon Thuanthong at the Criminal Court.
The court will make a decision on December 29 whether to proceed with the case.
The suit argued that an autopsy showed that Angkhana was not carrying a bomb but was killed by a burning object which exploded near her body.
It said Surapon made the defamation statement on October 8.
