A small bomb exploded outside the Government House early Tuesday morning. No one was injured.
Pol Sub-Lt Prapat Klaengkrathok of Nang Loeng police station said the explosion occurred at Orathai Bridge near Thewakam Intersection at 1:50 am.
The explosion caused a one-inch deep and 20-cm-wide hold on the ground.
Bomb disposal officers have yet to identify the type of the bomb.
Guards of the People's Alliance for Democracy told police that they heard something falling on a tree branch before falling to the ground. Then, they saw white smoke before a loud explosion was heard. No one was nearby at the time of the explosion.
