Station loners targeted

Bangkok Railway Police have arrested a 15-year-old boy who allegedly worked with four others to extort money from people at Hua Lamphong train station, police said yesterday. Following a complaint by 39-year-old victim Seri Preecha, police apprehended the boy, who was at the station alone. He reportedly admitted to having been arrested twice last year for possession of methamphetamines and told police that he and four friends chose victims who were walking alone and would beat them if they refused to hand over their money.
