OAG defends decision

The Office of the AttorneyGeneral (OAG) said yesterday it had not filed charges against Santika Club for operating as an unauthorised service premises because its owner had told police of their operation plans beforehand.

OAG spokesman Thanapich Moolpreuk told a press conference the public prosecutors based their decision on the grounds that Santika executives had notified their intention to run the place as an entertainment venue to a Thong Lor police superintendent on December 24, 2003.
