Envoys taken on Sukhothai Tour in bid to improve image

The Culture Ministry yesterday took foreign diplomats from 34 countries and foreign media staff on a visit to the Sukhothai and Sri Satchanalai World Heritage Historical Parks to restore Thailand's good reputation, scarred by political turmoil.

Permanent Secretary for Culture Weera Rojpojanarat said that it was urgent for the ministry to restore the country's good image, buffeted by the economic and political crises, and to attract tourists back to Thailand as soon as possible.
