Candidates out to woo

Three candidates for Bangkok governor wooed voters yesterday, with Kaewsan Atibodhi proposing to build two Skytrain extensions, actor-turned-politician Yuranun "Sam" Pamornmontri offering to build new markets and TV personality ML Nattakorn Devakula promising to put up more day-care centres for disabled children. Kaewsan, former Assets Scrutiny Committee secretary and senator, told voters at a public pier near the Sathorn Chaloem Phrakiat 72 Phansa Park that he would speed up the construction of a 2.2-kilometer-long Skytrain extension to Thon Buri side and complete it by next April. For the previously-planned 10 routes, the independent candidate said many faced the problem of land expropriation and high....
